SDA Bytes - November 2025 Update

November 11, 2025

Welcome to our November 2025 Update!

At SDA Bytes, we’re here to help you with all your corporate training needs. Since our last update, we’ve made ease of use improvements around the creation and modification of tests. We’ve also added features to make tests even more useful for employee growth and business planning.

Let’s start off by reviewing the changes that make it easier for you to create and edit tests.

Question & Answer Duplication

To help you save time and effort when creating or editing tests, we’ve added in the ability to duplicate a question or answer. As shown in the following image, the Duplicate option is present in the newly added context menu to the right of each question and answer.

Move Questions Between Tests

There are various reasons why you might want to move a question to a different test and we’re pleased to announce that it’s now possible to do so. The new Move to test... option, shown in the following image, allows you to move questions between tests.

Question & Answer Rearrangement

Being able to adjust the order of questions or answers can be quite helpful. Because of this, we’ve added in the ability to rearrange a question or answer in the list by using the Move up or Move down options as shown in the following image.

Now that we’ve looked at some of the improvements that make it easier to create and edit tests, let’s take a look at a new feature that we’re really excited about.

Skills

Skills are a new Business and Premium account feature that will allow you to quickly view where your employees stand in their current roles. It will allow both you and your employees to easily see if they’re ready to take on more responsibilities or perhaps switch roles. It will also allow you to more easily do a skill gap analysis to determine if you’re able to take on an opportunity or are ready for the future.

As shown in the following image, a new view has been created that allows you to define both soft and hard skills.

With skills defined, you can now associate them with a test as shown in the following image. Once a skill is assigned to a test, you can indicate what level of proficiency a user would have by passing the test.

Stay tuned because this is just the beginning. We will be adding more features around Skills soon.

Now that you know what changed since our last update, you might be asking yourself, what’s next? Let’s take a look.

What’s next?

Some of the improvements that you can expect to see in the near future include:

  • More features will be added around Skills
    • Users will be able to request a skill be added to their profile
    • When a user successfully completes a test, the skills associated with the test will be submitted for approval for the user
    • An approval view will be created allowing an administrator to view skills submitted by tests and from user requests. If the administrator wants to approve the skill, they can either accept the proficiency as-is or adjust it before approving it.
    • Administrators will also be able to add a skill to a user directly and indicate the user’s proficiency
  • The Users view will be adjusted to show the tests a user has taken, skills assigned, and the user’s proficiency rating for each skill. The view will also show skills that are under review.
  • An iOS app for Apple phones and tablets is in the works
